TEMPORARY PROTECTED STATUS FOR HAITIANS:


THE RENEWAL WILL BE HERE SOON!


Be ready near the end of May 2011 to renew your work permit and status in TPS.

IF YOU DO NOT RENEW YOU WILL LOSE YOUR STATUS IN THIS PROGRAM!!!


-         Your work permit

-         2 separate money orders:

o   $85 (for fingerprints)

o   $380 (to receive a work authorization card)**

-         “Certificates of Disposition” for any criminal convictions


If you have been arrested, you may be ineligible for this program. It is important that you discuss the consequences of any criminal convictions with a lawyer.


Beware of individuals who are preparing these applications for financial gain. Please go to reputable and trustworthy community organizations.


We want to help you but our office only speaks English and Spanish. We do not speak French or Creole; please bring a friend who speaks English with you. We will charge $50 in cash for each prepared application; we will follow up with any problems.
